1. What type of adhesive is DriTac 7600?

DriTac 7600 is a high solids moisture-cure urethane adhesive.

2. What are the flooring types warranteed by DriTac 7600?

The flooring types that DriTac 7600 warrantees are bamboo, exotic wood, multi-ply engineered plank, solid plank-flat milled up to ½”, wood parquet, ¾” solid shorts, acrylic impregnated wood, parquet and plywood.

The recommended subfloors for DriTac 7600 are plywood, terrazzo, concrete (above, below and on grade., underlayment grade OSB, APA standard underlayment particle board, vinyl tile flooring, sheet vinyl (fully-adhered non-cushioned. and light weight concrete (coated with primer..

4. What are the trowel sizes for DriTac 7600 and the flooring types they are used for?

For engineered wood plank (3 and 5 ply.: 3/16” x  5/32” v notch,        50 square feet per gallon.

5/16” solid parquet, 5/16” to 3/8’ solid strip, ¼”  engineered plank, inlays: 1/8” x 1/8” square notch, 80 square feet per gallon.

¾” solid wood planks/shorts 4’ x 4’ plywood: 1/4” x ¼” x ¼” square notch, 35 square feet per gallon.

Greater than ½” engineered plank and ¾” parquet: ¼” x 1/8” square notch, 40 square feet per gallon.

5. What are the accepted types of moisture tests recommended with DriTac 7600?

DriTac recommends the Calcium Chloride Test and the Tramex Moisture Encounter Meter.

6. What are the acceptable levels of moisture for concrete when installing DriTac 7600?

For Calcium Chloride: max 4 lbs. per 1,000 square feet.  For Tramex Meter: max reading of 4 on top scale of meter.

7. What is the acceptable amount of variation in the subfloor when using DriTac 7600?

Subfloors must be flat to 3/16” in a 10’ radius or 1/8’ In a 6’ radius.

8. What type of leveling compound does DriTac recommend when installing DriTac 7600?

DriTac recommends a Portland Cement based leveling compound.

9. What is recommended flash time when using DriTac 7600?

There is no flash time when using DriTac 7600.  Install the wood flooring immediately after spreading the adhesive.

10. Is it necessary to roll the wood flooring after installation?

Yes, the wood must be in contact with the adhesive when it dries.

11. Does the job site need to acclimate to live-in conditions before installing DriTac 7600?

Yes, this is an industry standard followed by all wood flooring and adhesive manufacturers.

12. What temperature and humidity are considered to be live-in conditions?

Temperature: 70 degrees          Humidity: 50%

13. Is DriTac 7600 recommended for exterior use?

No!  DriTac 7600 is recommended for interior use only.

14. Can DriTac 7600 be installed over old cut-back type adhesives?

No!  Old cut-back adhesives must be totally removed or covered with a cement based floor patch before installing DriTac 7600.

15. Can DriTac 7600 be used only for on grade installations?

DriTac 7600 can be used below, on, and above grade for installing engineered plank and parquets. (We do not recommend solid planks to be layed below grade..

19. How long after installation before the flooring can be walked on?

The flooring can be opened to light traffic 8 to 12 hours after installation.

20. How do you clean wet DriTac 7600?  Dry DriTac 7600?

Wet DriTac 7600 can be removed with DriTac Urethane Adhesive Remover.  Dry or cured DriTac 7600 is difficult to impossible to remove.  (Do not allow the adhesive to dry on the surface of the wood flooring.
