How does Kronotex Laminate Flooring compare to other laminate flooring? Kronotex Click Lock and Clic 2 Clic glue-free laminate flooring products are produced from start to finish from residual wood fiber to finished flooring planks in one factory. The self-locking tongue and groove system allows for exceptional joint integrity. Kronotex laminate flooring is moisture, fade, wear and stain resistant. All edges are protected against the ingress of moisture by an environmentally friendly hydrophobic agent. Our product is easily and quickly installed. You may walk on the finished product immediately after installation.
Can laminate flooring be installed on steps? Yes, Kronotex Laminate Floor can be installed on steps but the planks should be glued down with regular wood glue. The moldings and transitions need to be nailed down.
Can laminate flooring be installed in bathrooms? Yes, Kronotex Laminate flooring can be installed in bathrooms. It is recommended you apply a light bead of glue to the tongue on the planks to be used in the areas subject to have spills.

How do I clean my Kronotex Laminate Flooring? Kronotex laminate flooring can be cleaned with a vacuum, a broom, or a damp cloth or mop. Soiling can be removed with the usual cleansing agents or a laminate cleanser or acetone respectively. Do not use wax polish.
How do I repair minor scratches? Minor scratches or nicks can be repaired by the user with laminate floor repair paste.
What is the difference between the brown core and the green core?The cores are the same. The green product is a result of a coloring agent added to the adhesive in the manufacturing of the High Density Fiberboard core in response to general market preference.
How do I replace one plank of my flooring due to damage?If the plank that needs replacing is close to the edge of the room, simply disassemble the floor to the position of the plank to be replaced and then reinstall the plank(s). There is a more complicated procedure if you need to replace a single hard-to-get-to plank.call us and we will fax you the specific instructions.
What is the wear rating for your product? All our products carry the AC3 rating with the exception of 8mm Isilock which has an AC4 rating and Robusto which has a wear rating of AC5.
Is Kronotex engineered flooring real wood? Yes, our engineered flooring is real wood, however it is not solid wood. The core material is a high density fiberboard, made of wood fiber (produced from rubbing apart wood flakes and chips under heat and pressure) then mixing the fiber with adhesive and forming a panel under heat and pressure.
How is the paper applied to the HDF core?The melamine impregnated paper is thermo-fused to the core, topped with an aluminum-oxide wear layer.
